I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I work in a Person-Centred way, and believe that with empathy, authenticity, kindness and compassion; insight, growth and change can occur.
I am experienced at counselling adults with many issues such as grief, loss, uncertainty, life transitions, trauma, relationship difficulties and anxiety. I also work as a volunteer Counsellor at the Sussex Cancer Centre and the Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton, providing counselling for patients and their families.
Alongside counselling, I work as a specialist cancer nurse, with twenty five years experience working within the NHS, the private sector and for Macmillan cancer support. I have considerable experience and a professional interest in working with issues related to the emotional impact of physical disease, with a particular interest in counselling for cancer, chronic health conditions and life limiting illness.
My private practice is in the Preston Park area of Brighton where I work from quiet, private counselling rooms. I also work online via Zoom and Microsoft teams and offer telephone counselling.
I hold a post-graduate diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the University of Brighton and am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
